Sound Designer & Audio Engineer (TV, Film & Video Games)
Julie Reich (Toronto, ON) is a Sound Designer, Post-Production Audio Editor and Audio Engineer, with a passion for Foley. She recently completed an internship at Eggplant Picture and Sound, with editing and Foley roles on numerous feature films. Soon thereafter she was hired by TA2 Sound & Music as an Audio Engineer, working on many commercials. Julie also specializes in Film, Television and Video Games. She is proficient in an array of software such as Pro Tools, iZotope, FabFilter, Adobe Premiere Suite, FMOD and Unity. Her most recent projects include Editor and Original Score Composer for The Trappist Symphony (2020), produced by the Expanses’ Kenn Fisher. Currently, she is working on Omiwatari (Dir Zeesy Powers, 2021), a Canada Council funded documentary as Sound Designer, Editor, Voice Over Recordist, Mixer and Original Score Composer. As Lead Sound Designer, Ghosts Of Camp Picton (2020) was just nominated (August 2021) for an Innovation Award by the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario.With a Postgraduate Degree in Sound Design and Production from George Brown College, she is currently pursuing audio post-production work in Sound Design for Film, Television and Video Games.
As an audio engineer I can handle all your audio recording needs whether it be Foley, ADR, or music. As an Audio Editor, I can edit Dialogue, SFX & Ambiences, Foley, and Music. As a Sound Designer, I specialize in custom building sounds from scratch to enhance and support the narrative. As a mixer, I can ensure your audio is pristine and adheres to broadcast and streaming standards. I can create custom sounds for video games, with experience using Reaper, FMOD and Unity. I have been an artist specializing in sound for the last 10 years, from my early days as a sound artist and a musician, to current day Sound Designer for Television, Film and Video Games.
